The Tasmanian ICT Awards is again celebrating Tasmania's finest business talent and achievements in the ICT sector.

The awards offer nominees the opportunity to gain recognition within their industry as well as promote themselves and the businesses they represent.  

Startup Spring Bootcamp, Tasmania's premier startup workshop and mentoring event has attracted rich program of speakers and topics for this year's event.

Startup Bootcamp is a training workshop for startups featuring presentations by leading startup advisers and supporters followed by a pitch night with a panel of startup experts.

The National Innovation Challenge is on again, and in contention is a team led by Paulo de Souza, of the CSIRO, which has designed technology to microchip honeybees to track them as part of the international effort to solve the mystery of the collapse of the insects’ populations worldwide.

Australian Small Business Advisory Services Programme

The Small Business Minister Bruce Billson announced the opening of applications for the Australian Small Business Advisory Services (ASBAS) Programme.

ASBAS aims to build on the previous success of the Small Business Advisory Services programme which has helped more than 230,000 small businesses since its introduction in 2008.

Startup Spring, the annual national celebration of entrepreneurship and strartups will kick off next week in Tasmania with a launch evening on Monday 13 October at Hobart’s premier coworking space The Typewriter Factory, hosted by Startup Tasmania.

The Hobart evening begins a three-week program of events designed to inspire, educate and foster startup development in Tasmania.
