Annual General Meeting

It’s 12 months since Startup Tas launched! Time now for our first annual general meeting.

The meeting is open to financial members of Startup Tasmania. You’ll be able to vote on formal business and elect officers and committee members.

The formal business of the night includes:

(a) to confirm the minutes of the last preceding annual general meeting and of any general meeting held since that meeting;

(b) to receive from the committee, auditor and servants of the Association reports on the transactions of the Association during the last preceding financial year of the Association;

(c) to elect the officers of the Association and the ordinary committee members;

(d) to appoint the auditor and determine his or her remuneration;

(e) to determine the remuneration of servants of the Association.

We might also ask members to vote on some small constitutional changes to help things run smoothly.

Following the formal stuff we’ll run a workshop with members to collect ideas for the future of Startup Tasmania. The aim here is to give the new committee some clear priorities which will guide them as they plan initiatives and activities for the coming year.
