Alex Blades
Alex Blades

Alex Blades has been working as a sub-editor at The Examiner newspaper for the past seven years. Although he enjoys his job at the newspaper, he decided to step out of his comfort zone and take on new and exciting opportunities in the Startup industry. Last year, he started working on a web application on the side and proceeded to take it from concept to product, raising capital and testing the market while defining its business model. Apart from setting his sights to launch his startup, Choosevent, in March 2013, Alex also offers his skills with proof-reading, press writing, and sharing media insights to help others in Tasmania's thriving Startup community.

At Appointuit, he manages the development team, addresses support demands, and oversees the key components of the technical operations. By trade an IT Consultant, Shaun has a knack in technical-level support, and loves to freelance as a web developer from time to time, which makes him a jack-of-all-trades.
